Jack Dorsey is an American Entrepreneur best known for co-founding Twitter in March 2006. After departing Twitter in 2001, Dorsey co-founded Square, which become Block, Inc., a multinational technology conglomerate. Dorsey is a strong proponent of Bitcoin and has spoken at several conferences. He is also known for his work as a philanthropist and has donated millions towards cryptocurrency focused projects. As of 2021, it is estimated that Dorsey has donated around half a billion dollars to various charities and research organizations.

Apart from the financial gain and legal issues surrounding the acquisition, Dorsey did initially say Musk was “the singular solution” he trusted to run Twitter. Dorsey stated that Twitter could not survive as a public company and required a private owner. Six months later, Dorsey was much more vocal about his unhappiness with Elon’s management, going so far as to say Musk “should have walked away” from the $44 billion dollar deal.
