Was Jed McCaleb involved in the Mt. Gox hack?

McCaleb was not directly involved as he had sold Mt. Gox to Mark Karpelès a year prior. However, he was later faced with a lawsuit claiming he was aware of Mt. Gox’s security issues and misrepresented the exchange prior to its sale.

Did Jed McCaleb invent Ripple?

The pre-cursor for Ripple was actually developed back in 2004 by Ryan Fugger, known as Ripplepay. In 2011, McCaleb and his colleagues began working on a new cryptocurrency, and in 2012 they merged their idea with Fugger.
